'Film Project Insurance' Between Producer's Association & Lumbini General Insurance

Film Producer's Association and Lumbini General Insurance have done an official agreement in 'Film Project Insurance'. The two groups did the agreement in order to handle the obstacles faced during the making of a film. The president of the Producer's Association Mr. Akash Adhikari and the CEO of Lumbini General Insurance Mr. NP Pradhan signed a 5 points agreement on Monday in the capital. 

A film will have to take the permission of the Producer's Association in order to do its insurance. In order to carry out the insurance process, a film will have to pay 1% of its registration fee to the insurance company and the insurance company will pay 5% of the amount (paid by the film) to the Producer's Association. 

CEO Pradhan disclosed that the company will pay compensation to the movie team within one month. The movie team will be assisted in the entire process by the Producer's Association.

This policy is not mandatory for all films. They can do accident insurance or project insurance as per their requirement. The president of the Producer's Association Mr Adhikari believes that the film industry will be benefitted as well as safe by this policy.

The programme had participation of the president of the Producer's Association Mr Akash Adhikari, senior vice president Mr Uday Subba, vice president Mr Bimal Poudel, secretariat Roj Rana and other members. On the other hand, CEO NP Pradhan, BK Shrestha, and other members were present from the Lumbini General Insurance side.
