Hindi Films To Be Released On Friday Only

Film Development Board has prohibited the trend of releasing Bollywood movies before Friday. Film Producer's Association of Nepal had written a letter to the board regarding this. In response, the president of the Film Development Board Mr Keshav Bhattarai took the decision so that the business of Nepali films won't be affected. Because of this, 'Kalank' which has released worldwide on Wednesday has not released in Nepal yet. 

Nepali films have provisions of releasing only on four festivals other than Fridays. This was not implemented in case of Bollywood movies. But now it has started by prohibiting the release of Kalank on Wednesday. 

Nepali filmmakers have felt relieved to some extent because of this. Nepali films were affected by the release of Hindi films ahead Friday. Also, majority of Nepalese understand Hindi which was a major effect on the selection of movies to watch by Nepalese. Now, it is believed that this effect will end soon.
