Viewers say everyone must watch 'Malika'

Film ‘Malika’, which was released on Friday, has got a great opening and is receiving good reviews from all quarters. Most of the cinema halls were housefull on Saturday. The film, directed by actress Rekha Thapa, is based on the issue of sexual violence against women. Viewers have taken the film as a movement for women empowerment. Many viewers expressed desire to be like ‘Malika’ after watching the film.

Director Thapa, who is one among the two lead actress in the film, expressed delight at the response the film has received. She added optimism that the film will draw more audiences during the festival of Tihar.

‘I am very happy to have made a film like this. I am sure it will help bring many social changes. This film is not a commercial project. It’s part of a grand women movement’, she said.
