The festival of Halloween was celebrated all over the world on Wednesday. It was also celebrated in Nepal and many people, including celebrities, have posted photos in Halloween Costumes and makeups on social media. Samragyi Rajya Laxmi Shah got the most eyeballs rolling with her all-pink themed Halloween getup. Here are a few photos from her Halloween celebration which the actress posted on her Facebook wall.
The festival, which is celebrated in remembrance of the people who died during the year, occurs on the 31st of October each year. It is similar to the Nepali festival of Gai Jatra where people go to the streets dressed as ghosts and spirits. Small children, in their scary costumes, knock on the doors in their locality and ask for either ‘Trick or Treat’ with the house owners, who send them away with treats - candies and chocolates.
