Looking at the number of the films he has right now, Saugat Malla is definitely one of the superstars of the Nepali film industry. He and Dayahang Rai are the initial choices for the every filmmaker today.  But if we have a look at his box office reports, we can't say the same. Most of his films have been major flops. He acts really well, but he is not being able to cash in his stardom.

 His next release, 'Shabda', will decide the fate of his stardom. The film is relying heavily on Saugat's name for its box office performance. The film also stars debutant Kamala Waiba, which might not help the film much.

 The talented actor has been able to give only one or two hits in his career which has been credited to directors Nischal Basnet and Rambabu Gurung. Will he give a hit on his own? Lets wait and watch!
