Pokhara in Kaski District and Hetauda in Makawanpur are the new destination for movie makers as displayed by the recent commotion in both places.  Half a dozen movies are simultaneously being shot in these places now.

The places gather the attention of the film makers because of their unbeatable natural beauty and serene environment. Two movies are currently being shot in Hetauda, which is very near to Kathmandu and also boasts of ample shooting spots. Sabin Shrestha’s ‘Hero Returns’ and Amardeep Sapkota’s ‘Karkhana’ arethe two movies  being shot in Hetauda presently. ‘Hero Returns’ features Rekha Thapa, Dil Shrestha and other actors apart from the director while ‘Karkhana’ features Sushil Shrestha and Barsa Siwakoti.

Pokhara is also very busy with the movie schedules as movies ‘Lakeside’, ‘Love, Love, Love’, ‘Ye Mero Hajur’ have started shooting in one of the most picturesque places in the country.  Pokhara is the foremost tourist destination of the country outside the capital city and film makers throng to the place to capture its natural elements in frame.
