Nepali cine actor Nisha Adhikari has gone bald. The star of hit Nepali movies like First Love, Soongava and Mukhauta, posted her picture where she appears to be bald, in her personal Facebook account on Wednesday. She also wrote, “....because, why not!?!” followed by a series of hashtags, “#shorthair #lovingit #didit #baldnbold #liberation #mylifemyway”.

Several female Hollywood actors have made headlines for ridding their hair in the past but Adhikari’s bold move is the first among Nepali celebrities in recent history.Charlize Theron had flaunted a shaved head in her 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road while Natalie Portman had done the same for her 2006 film V for Vendetta.

It is not clear, however, if Adhikari’s new look is for a new role. In 2013, the 29-year-old beauty had grabbed headlines by being the first female Nepali actor to scale Mt Everest.
