In the agreement between Nepal Film Producer’s Association and filmmakers Association decided that the multiplex theaters in Kathmandu have started regular business from today. Apart from one damaged theater, Cine de Chef, all other multiplex theaters has opened on May 8, 2015.

The compound walls of QFX Theater had fallen but the theater itself is undamaged. The CTC Mall building, where Cine de Chef is located, has been completely damaged by earthquake. Other theaters are reported to be in good condition to continue the operation. The theaters out of Kathmandu have already been open since the last week. 

The earthquake of 7.8 magnitude took place in April 25th2015 was frightening compared to the earthquake that took place on 1990(B.S.) fracturing the multiplexes in Kathmandu. Fortunately, no theater in Kathmandu has been badly damaged. During the earthquake, film “Resham Fi-L-Li-“ was displayed and many spectators were watching the movie in that period.
