While there have been negotiations about government taking the rescue work slowly, actress Rekha Thapa initiated for a meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala pleading him to take prompt action to start relief work for the earthquake victims. On Sunday actress Rekha Thapa paid her visit to Prime Minister’s resident.

Actress Rekha said her plead was taken positively by the Prime Minister. “Since no solution can be drawn in haste, Government and the people should unite to fight this challenge”, said actress Rekha Thapa. She further added, “We all should have strong faith and determination in order to help, fund and reestablish the nation.” Meanwhile Prime Minister Koirala appreciated the help that actress Thapa has bestowed upon the disaster victims. Since the very first day of the disaster had actress Rekha Thapa has been readily serving victims in every way possible. One of the attendant in the meeting quoted that,' Your work is highly appreciable. We are as well willing to go hand in hand with you. You have reached out to the places where government has not yet reached'. Rekha held a meeting with PM to convey message from the people. Rekha said ,' To every victims i have reached, all have the same complain, our government has not taken any steps for us.' I conveyed the people's message acting as a messenger to them. Rekha also said that during the 20 minutes of talk with Prime Minister Koirala , he showed his concern on this disaster and vowed that government will do that all it can at this crisis situation. Along with Rekha Thapa, Director Himgyap Lama 'Tashi' was also present in the meeting. 

 
Along with the Prime Minister Koirala actress Rekha Thapa also encountered with Senior Maoist leader Babu Ram Bhattarai. She expressed her thoughts and requested to help the earthquake victims.
