On January 9th 2015 three films were released simultaneously and the movie “Tathastu” which costars Rekha Thapa started off their box office magnificently. It has been informed that there was a massive spectators who came to watch Actress Rekha Thapa movie “Tathastu” compared to the other two released movies “Avash” and “Alvida”. 

A film distributor from Kathmandu Gopal Kayastha stated that the film “Tathastu” was houseful in several theatre. “Currently three film are screening and Tathastu has successfully instigated their business fruitfully. On Friday the number of viewers increased twofold to see our films though the day was wintry”, said Gopal Kayastha.  

It has also been informed that the movie “Tathastu” was a houseful in several theatre like Gopikrishna, Asthanarayan, Gun, Ganga and Puspanjali. The film distributor Narendra Maharjan has informed that the movie “Tathastu” directed by Sabir Shrestha has started off their business successfully. “The film Tathastu has been successful compare to the Hindi film "Tewar”, said by Narendra Maharjan. In the eastern part of Nepal the business of this film has been affected due to the protest by Maoist Party Baidhya. 

The producer of the movie “Avash” Govinda Shahi also stated that the movie was well-off. He also believed that his film performance was better compare to other two movies. He further added, “In all excellent theatre our film Avash has been released and our business is grander.” But according to the information provided by the theatre’s crew members the film “Tathastu” is successful than the movie “Avash”. 

The film “Alvida” starring Aryan Sigdel was unsuccessful compare to other two movie “Tathasu” and “Avash”. The spectators of the film “Alvida” is very less compare to the film “Tathastu”. However, in some theatre the audience was in same number for the film “Avash” and “Alvida”. “Alvida” was considered as a competitor to the movie “Tathastu” but the competition was believed weaker for the film “Alvida”.

As these above mentioned information are the evidence of the release day (January 9th 2015) only. However, it is still unpredictable which movie is going to get ahead in the box office.
