Nepal Film Technical Association (Nefta) awards will be held in Hong-Kong on the October 20^th, but how is the preparation of the event being held out? Newspage3.com understands that the itinerary of the program has been almost finalized, while other preparation on the flagship event has also seen the last daylight.

The organizers have already booked a hall with a capacity of over one thousand attendees for the event. The hotel, which houses the hall, has been booked for the award duration for facilitating stay purposes. Two days prior to the event, a team from Nepal will be Hong-Kong bound to monitor the preparations. The team will inspect the auditorium and its lighting facilities on the same eve while the next day will feature a tour of the island for the organizers.

The award ceremony, which will run for three hours, will be inaugurated by the Minister of Information and Communications, Minendra Rijal. Nepali actors, film-men, media person and NRN Hong-Kong will be present in the program which will also feature the launch of the movie ‘Ye Mero Hajur 2’.

The cost for the event, the dinner gala afterwards, and the room rent for the booked 45 rooms in the hotel, will come at around NRs. 7.5 millions. This estimate also includes travel costs and rehearsal expenses. Producer Sunil Kumar Thapa, who played a major role in bringing the awards to Hong-Kong, was upbeat about the impact of the event. ‘This event will promote our industry into newer horizons’, said Thapa. Thapa’s production house and Binaya Shah’s company ‘Great Perfect Limited’ in Hong Kong have collaborated with Film Technical Association to stage the award show in Hong Kong.
