Jhola, the movie based on the Sati (Pratha) the system, dominated the NFDC National Film Festival 2070 held on Saturday here. The film won the Best Filmmaker (Yadav Kumar Bhattarai), Best Actress (Garima Panta) and Best Co-actress (Laxmi Giri) Awards.



However, the Best Actor Award went to Aryan Singdel for his "Mahasush". Ramesh Budathoki won the Nir Best Co-Actor Award for his role in Rajniti while Bishwo Best New Actor Award went o Gaurab Pahari for his role in "Manjari". Likewise, Sujata Koirala bagged the Chaitya Best New Actress Award. Pradeep Kumar Udaya received the awards on behalf of Gaurav and Sujata who were not present in the function.

Likewise, Arpan Thapa received the Chetan Best Script Award for "Maun" and Badri Lamaichhane won the Tulsi Best Editor Award for "Mahashus". The Manju Best Cinematography Award was bagged by Purusottam Pradhan for "Nai Nabhannu La -2" and the Bhutani Best Action Director Award went to Rajendra Khadgi for his home product  "Nothing Impossible".



Basnat Best Choreography Director Award went to Kabiraj Gahatraj whereas, the Udit Best Singer Award went to minor singer Prem Pariyar for "Nai Nabhannu La-2". The Best Shanbhu Music Award went to Basanta Sapkota  also for "Nai Nabhannu La-2". The Shuba Playback Music Award went to Elis Karki for "Chha Ekan Chha" and Pradeep Sound Recording Award was won by Amit Shrestha for "Manjari".



MaHa Jury Award was presented to director Pravin Shrestha and producer Sunil Manandhar of Moksha whereas Shantipriya bagged the Best Journalism Award. The Kusume Rumal Best Film Award was won by Nai Nabhannu La-2. Actor Ramesh Uprety, actress Karishma Mananadhar and others had presented dance in the NFDC National Film Award ceremony that continued for three hours at the Army Officers Club.
