'Its Not Wrong To Make Professional Movies'

Bollywood director Prakash Jha made debut as a documentary maker in 1975. His first documentary was censored on the same date. Jha who grew up in Bihar is one of the best directors in Bollywood. The director is currently in Nepal to attend the Nepal International Film Festival. He is the main judge for the national and international featured films. He is going to stay for a week in Kathmandu. 

Mr Jha shared his journey as a filmmaker on the ongoing film festival. Documentary maker and journalist Shekhar Kharel arranged the event where there were lots of people to listen to director Jha's experience. Jha has suggested filmmakers to make films that are easily understandable by the general public. 

Jha who is also a National award winner was suggested by his maid Lalita to make films including art with commercialism. He added, "movies are business so you must ensure that your viewers are satisfied with your work". He disclosed that making films for business is not bad at all. He said that he is unable to take some of his films to the cinemas because of business insecurities.

He advised the producers and directors to focus on content rather than star casts. He who has worked with Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Om Puri, Nana Patekar, Karina Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Dipika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, etc. suggested that the content of a movie is the global star. He said, "we won't get global audience until and unless we bring global content. So hard work must be done on content rather than stars."

He has made movies raising the issues of politics. He is quite well known for his social stories in the movies. He who has been a candidate of Indian Loksabha elections agreed that he has brought a lot of political issues in his movies. 

He recently finished the shooting of a web series. He has a plan of releasing a movie named 'Janadesh' in the near future.
