Nawal Nepal: Director Dealing With Audience's Sentiments

Nawal Nepal, who debuted in the Nepali movie industry from the movie 'Anath' as an assistant director is regarded as one of the successful directors these days. He has been able to direct movies that touch the inner hearts of people.

He made his debut as a director from the movie 'Tasbir'. Then, he directed 'Shriman', 'Lajja', 'Bhaag Sani Bhaag', 'Mangalam'. He basically makes movies on prevalent social issues and women rights.

'Maruni' which released two weeks ago was also directed by Nepal. The film has been doing sound business in the third week as well. 'Word of Mouth' has favoured the film a lot.

Majority of the films directed by Nawal directly deal with the sentiments of the people. A huge audience after watching Maruni couldn't hold their tears. So, Nawal has been given the nickname of the director dealing with people's sentiments.

Talking about Samragyee RL Shah, Samragyee was quite insulted for her acting in previous movies. But she has been praised for the work she has delivered in Maruni. It's one of the responsibilities of a director to make his/her casts act well in the movie. In the movie 'Maruni' we can see good acting of Samragyee as well as Pushpa so the work of Nawal can also be praised here. 

Nawal had previously worked with Pushpa in 'Mangalam' for which he received National Awards too.

Before the release of Maruni, Nawal had said that "if the movie gives you a headache, scold us but we aren't responsible if it makes your heart pain." Maruni has established him as one of the successful directors in Nepali movie industry.
