Discussion Between Nepal Police and Film Personnel

There is a lot of hindrances film shooting in our country. The problems should be solved as soon as possible by the joint efforts of film personnel and authorities. A movie is the major source of protection, preservation and promotion of a nation’s culture and tradition. Therefore, the obstacles in the film shooting process should be swept away.

For this particular reason, there was a meeting between Nepal Police and Film Producer’s Association which was attended by the presidents, some artists and the filmmakers.

The president of the Producer’s Association Mr Akash Adhikari presented his convictions regarding how Nepal Police can assist in the film making. He discussed the availability of appropriate police stations, costumes and materials for film shooting.

The programme had a discussion regarding the improvement of police costumes, materials and custody used in movies. Some police activities involving clips of Nepali film were shown at the beginning of the programme.

The programme had the participation of IGP Sarbendra Khanal, Nir Shah, Bhuwan KC, Madan KC, Sunil Katwal, Kiran KC, Krishna Malla, Gopal Kaji Kayastha, etc. Likewise, the president of the Film Artists Association Mr Rabindra Khadka was also present.
