Producer's Association Appeals For Release of Foreign Films On Fridays Only

Recently, the release of foreign movies in Nepal was banned on days other than Friday. Previously, Bollywood film 'Kalank' was highly affected by this system as it was allowed to release in Nepal only on Friday whereas it was released all over the world before that day.

But newly released movie 'Bharat' has been released all over the world including Nepal on Wednesday. According to the previous rules, it was to be released on Friday but due to the case filed by the distributor's company (Wyanketesh Entertainment), the district court accepted its release on Wednesday. 

This has highly affected the shows of ongoing Nepali movies 'Jaatrai Jaatra', "Kumbha Karan', etc. 'Jaatrai Jaatra' was going with great flow in multiplexes but now its show is reduced by 50%

This act of the distributors was highly criticised by Film Producer's Association. The organization flowed a press release which appeals for the ban of release of foreign films in Nepal on other days than Friday.
