Comedian Rajpal Yadav sentenced to prison

Comedian Rajpal Yadav has been sentenced to three months of prison. The Indian High Court passed the verdict in a case related to financial fraud.
Yadav had taken rupees 50 million loan from Murli Projects to finance his film ‘Atta Patta Lapatta’ eight years ago. He could not pay the loan back to his financiers as his film bombed in the Box Office, earning only 3.8 million rupees.
Yadav had been contensting that the people who put the money in the project were producers but the papers presented at the court had used the term ‘Loan’, so the court decided unfavourably to his argument. Indian media informs that police will soon make an arrest of the actor.
