Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have got married. The couple were formally wedded after two ceremonies on Wednesday and Thursday in Italy. A ceremony following the Kokani tradition was held on Wednesday and it was followed by a ceremony of the Sindhi tradition on Thursday. The events took place in the Lake Komo resort area in Lombardy, Italy.
Actress Padukone has shared two photos after their marriage on Facebook and Instagram. Journalists and photographers were barred from the events, which was attended by a few close friends and family members of the couple.
The couple had insured their marriage ceremony and would have been compensated by the insurer, Oriental Insurance Company, if any untoward incident happened during the five days of the ceremony.
The newlyweds will now go on a short honeymoon to an undisclosed location.
