Shahid Started Spitting Blood At Set

Shooting of Shree Narayan Singh's Batti Gul Meter Chalu has been stopped due its lead actor’s accident.  He has fallen sick during the shooting.

A crew member revealed to the media that Shahid had to recite his dialogues in a high pitch, which took a major toll on his vocal chords. "Shahid started spitting blood. Though many thought it was just a viral infection, doctors, who checked on him said that because of the intensity of the scream, some blood vessel was affected," the source said.

According to Bollywood media although, the actor was forced to be out of action for a few days, he has refused to take any more days off from the shoot as he does not want the film to get affected because of his health issues.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu went on floors last month, and the film revolves around the issue of power shortage and huge electricity bills, and is slated to release on August 31.
