Actor/Director Akash Adhikari, who had announced previously to build a number of schools in Nepal after the Earthquake, has initiated yet another school building project in Nuwakot. Mr. Adhikari visited the remote Chapp-7, VDC in Nuwakot on Saturday and took hold of the situation and also analyzed the requirements for project commencement. ‘We have already achieved the permission to build this school and the works on construction will soon start’ said the elated Director despite his tough travel to be at the place.

Although the place is only 45 Kms from Kathmandu, the road leading to it is very difficult and it takes 7 hours of rough ride from the valley to reach at the school.

‘My organization ‘Flame of Hope Nepal’ will build the school despite of all the material transportation and construction difficulties’ said Mr. Adhikari.



A European organization named ECO-Himal will provide the financial support necessary for the construction of the school. The organization has a long history of providing aid and support to Nepal and has expressed willingness for more such social works in the future. 

This will be the third school constructed after the earthquake by ‘Flame of Hope Nepal’ and Mr. Adhikari said he will hand over the buildings to the school administration within one and a half months by overcoming every difficulty that will come on road.

During the site visit by the team from Flame of Hope Nepal and other representatives to formalize the working procedure for construction, conducted on 11th of November, the locals in the area, the children who are students at the school and their parents expressed their earnest gratitude towards Flame of Hope Nepal and ECO Himal for their much needed help.

' Our old school is in ruin. We were worried that we will not get to study like the old days but now we are getting a better school building. We thank Flame of Hope and ECO Himal very much for their kindness', said one student who also shared her difficulties at studying in makeshift school and open ground.

Mr. Adhikari said the school construction works will commence at the earliest. ' We will soon handover the building to the school administration', said a seemingly satisfied Adhikari. ' Getting to see smiles on the faces of everybody always makes you happy', said the movie maker.
