"Kalo Pothi"

Nepali feature film "Kalo Pothi" (The Black Hen) Has won the Best Film Award at 72nd Venice International Film Festival. In other words, it has become the winner of Fedeora Awards for the best film in the critic's week or an independent section within 72nd venice international film festival.  The film is directed by Min Bahadur Bham, it is the first ever film to participate in aby International Film Festival. The movie captures the story of two young close friends with the decade long civil war of Nepal in the backdrop. This movie has been shot in Mugu district of Nepal while the movie is a co-production of Nepal, Switzerland, Germany and France.

"Talakjung Vs Tulke"

The movie "Talakjung Vs Tulke" has been selected as the Nepal's official entry to 88th Academy Award's Best Foreign Language Film category. The committee memeber has chosen the Nischal Basnet directional venture among four movies "Bhimdutta, "Sunpani", "Nishani" and "Talakjung Vs Tulke" submitted for the selection. The movie "Talakjung Vs Tulke" tells the story of a man during the time of Maoist insurgency in Nepal.
