The recently formed Film and Musical Forum, a FNCCI sub-committee, organized a hugely successful Musical Night fundraiser in Hetauda on Friday. The program, which also celebrated the 52^nd anniversary of FNCCI, helped raise valuable fund for the Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund of FNCCI.

Despite the chilling January weather, entertaining performance from popular singers, comedians and stage artists glued the audiences and created a warm atmosphere all evening. Singers Anju Panta, Rajan Raj Siwakoti, Yuvaraj Chaulagain, actors Kedar Ghimire, Jitu Nepal, Shweta Khadka, Sushma Karki, Mariska Pokharel and dancers put on a memorable show in front of the elated Hetauda audience. Former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba was host for the night. 

Apart from the large local audience, the program was attended by many FNCCI dignitaries including Vice-President Umesh Lal Shrestha, Vice Presidents of the Commodities Association Sushil Kedia and Lok Nath Gaire, Chairman of the FNCCI Disaster and Relief Fund Jaya Siwakoti, past-President Chandi Raj Dhakal, Central Committee Member Arun Raj Sumargi, Hem Raj Dhakal, Raj Kumar Neupane, and Makwanpur CCI President Krsihna Katuwal. FNCCI Executive Committee Member and Forum President Akash Adhikari, Forum Vice President Narendra Maharjan and other Forum members also joined the dignitaries. Many veterans from the industry like Nir Shah, Harihar Sharma, Sunil Thapa also attended and added value to the program.



Akash Adhikari, who planned and oversaw the successful completion of the program, said it was a dream come true. “The day I was elected as FNCCI Executive Committee member, I promised not to go the path of past filmmaking members in FNCCI who sat idle on the Tourism Forum.  I decided to do something to help establish film as an industry. The establishment of the Forum and this program are a step in that direction”, he said.

The program was organized in joint collaboration with the Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and the organizers signed of the program with a promise of organizing other similar programs in the future featuring international artists.
