Actor, Director, and Producer’s Association President Akash Adhikari has handed over a 3 room school building to the School Administration of Borlang Bhoomi Lower Secondary School in Chapp-7 Nuwakot.



Adhikari has been actively involved in post earthquake relief and reconstruction work with his NGO ‘Flame of Hope Nepal’ including construction of schools in Thansing – Nuwakot and Magar Gaun, Lalitpur previously.

Adhikari was appreciated by the School Principal, Management Committee Chairman, and representatives of various political parties for his noble efforts. An elated Adhikari thanked the school family, parents and locals for their help and support in the construction work.  He praised the donor agencies that funded the school construction program and said their goodwill was the key to the realization of this work. The school building cost has been around NRs. 15 hundred thousand.



Organizations Eco Himal - Italy, Ram Friend - Italy and Ing. Pelliciardi helped fund this school construction project. Adhikari, who stated a desire to make many such schools in needy but government neglected areas, said he is looking forward to work more with the donors.

The environment was glorious on Saturday as joyful parents and students gathered aplenty to welcome a brand new and safe school building. Students sang and welcomed the team from Kathmandu, including Adhikari and the Director also danced with the students and locals.

Chapp is only 3 hours of walk from Kathmandu but because the place has not received government attention the travel to the place is very tough and the area is severely under developed.  

Adhikari said these are the places that challenge him and his dream is to identify more such neglected place that need attention and carry out his social activities there.
