After his outrageous decisions that marred the ‘Ninth NEFTA Awards’, NEFTA President Pushkar Lama’s position has come under much scrutiny and danger.

The award function, which was held in Dubai last Friday, fell into many controversies from the very beginning. News reports have confirmed that director Dpendra K Khanal is planning to give back his award. It is being said that NEFTA controversies have arose due to President Lama and his decisions.

Amongst all these chaos, NEFTA General Secretary Suraj Acharya, has resigned from his post. He stated that due to the recently held awards, the Association’s reputation has been tarnished. He will only serve as a general member from now on.

Before this, Secretary Shankar Pandey was cast out of his post and Vice President Arun Regmi was not present at the award function.

Due to all these incidents, the recent committee of the Association looks to be in a lot of hot soup.
