The film “Pardhesi” which stars Indian Idol winner Prashant Tamang in the lead role is set to be released on Dashain. The film was scheduled to be released last year while the first press meet of the movie was done on 19th August 2015 Wednesday at Kathmandu.

According to the film director Narayan Rayamajhi, the movie is based on a true story. In a press meet, Narayan Rayamajhi said, “The movie is based on the torture faced by the woman in golf region. But women are compel to go there to earn money. The film conveys a message that go where ever you like to but keep in mind that you’re not going to endure the pain. The previous movie of the director “Gorkha Paltan” was a hit. The film also co-starred Prashant Tamang in the lead role. However, the press-meet that was organized by the production team of the movie “Pardhesi” did not include Prashant Tamang. The film is produced by Narayan Rayamajhi and Rajesh Bashyal. With Prashant the film co-stars Naren Khadka, Rajani K.C., Kesabh Bhattarai, Raju Bajaj and Sher Bahadur Gurung and others in the supporting role.
