In a press meet which was organized on Thursday, Actor/Director Akash Adhikari expressed, “We, the committee member of our organization has decided to help and aid the earthquake victims by distributing relief materials and immediate needs”. Previously, his NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” has already distributed relief items of $24000 USD (24 Lakhs) and has distributed immediate needs of $40000 USD (400,000 Lakhs) which was provided by China. In a press meet Producer Association President Raj Kumar Rai, Nepal Film Journalist Association President Shanti Priya, Actress Karishma Manandhar and Comedian actress Deepa Shree Niraula praised Actor/Director Akash Adhikari for his assiduous social work and activities.


Currently, NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” has distributed 21,000 KG of rice, 500 hundred KG lentil, 560 shelter tarpaulin, 150 meters mattress, 150 plastic gundruk and 10 sack of iodine salt and other materials. Organizations like, “I to We”, Sunny Sagarmatha Samaj, Nepali Association of Northern California, Global Reach International Inc., Eyebrow Plus Inc. and Chandra Maharjan (Moonlight Pharmacy, Siddhipur, Lalitpur), Helping Hand Parasi (Texas) and Eco-Himal (Italy) has unremittingly assisted NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” in supplying the materials and need. 


The harrowing earthquake of 7.8 magnitude had killed over 9000 people and injuring many others. Similarly, it has affected different parts of Nepal and Akash’s NGO, “Flame of Hope Nepal” has provided relief and reinforcement in Khokana Lalitpur, Deopur Kavrepalanchowk, Tarsup and Thokre Dhading, Besi Sahar Municipality 14 and VDC Banglung Pani, Jarayatar Sindhupalchowk and Ramkot Kathmandu. Likewise in VDC Lalitpur and Kavrepalanchowk NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” had organized a health campaign for the earthquake victims with the support of the organization “I to We”.
