The renowned “Maha Jodi” MAdan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya provided the relief material to the earthquake victims in Sindhupalchowk district whereas actor Rajesh Hamal collaborated with Giro555 in Netherland, who has collected €9 million for the earthquake relief effort. Rajesh told that 90 percent of that amount will go to Nepal through different foundations.

 
Actress Rekha Thapa has also been actively helping earthquake victims by distributing things of necessity during the crisis. She has visited the camps and met the people and helped in whatever way she can. Rekha and ‘Bhimdatta’ director, Himgyap Lama ‘Tasi’ have been together since the earthquake and have been supporting the victims.

 
 Actor/Director Akash Adhikari who is the founder of the NGO “Flame of Hope” has distributed relief materials (Food, Tarpaulin, Medicine, and Water) and operated one day health camp for the earthquake victims in three wards at Deupur, Palanchowk Kavre.  Actor Jiwan Luitel donated relief materials and donated blood. Actress Shweta Khadka will be donating relief materials and fund to the earthquake victims after returning from USA. 

 
Artist Shiva Shrestha, Bhuwan K.C. Karishma Manandhar, Ramesh Upreti, Jharna Thapa, Dilip Rayamajhi, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Keki Adhikari and other dozen of artist volunteered with WHO and health ministry to help earthquake victims. Actor Saroj Khanal distributed relief material in Chitwan, Kathmandu and Nuwakot. Actor Sabin Shrestha whose father passed away will donate funds to earthquake victims.  

 
Actress Richa Sharma also went out on streets to distribute food items to the earthquake victims. Comedian duo SitaRam Katel 'Dhurmus' and Kunjana Ghimire 'Suntali' together made an financial contribution and provided aid to the earquake devastated area. Another comedian actor Wilson Bikram Rai 'Takme Budha' and Kedar Sharma 'Mangne Budha' also got engaged with earthquake relief item distribution.

 
Nepal Film Association decided to deposit Rupees 2 lakhs 11 thousand to the PM relief fund by this week, also Nepal Film Artists Association have gathered their memebers to clean up the city as well as provide aid to the Earthquake victims. GopiKrishna Movies Pvt. Ltd also provided relief items to the sffected parts of Sindhupalchok.

 
The entire unit of the movie “Chocloate”, “Hostel-Returns”, “Chanke Phanke Shanke” and “Resham FI-Li-Li” has distributed relief funds and materials to aid earthquake sufferers whereas Nepal Film Association organized a blood donation campaign.  

 
Along with these artists, other artist who are residing abroad and Nepal Film Association has provided support in their own ways. Nepalese filmmakers will never turn their back in need, they will always be there when their country people need them.
