More than 7,500 people have died as a result of the magnitude-7.8 earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25. The death toll could rise still higher, as thousands of people remained missing and remote villages affected by the quake were still being reached. More than 14,500 people have been injured in the disaster, which caused buildings to collapse, trapping people in the rubble. Nepal Film Association has decided to donate 2 Lakh 11Thousand (Rupees) to earthquake victims. Nepal Film Association issued a letter pad confirming the amount to be donated to earthquake victims with chairman signature on the statement. 

Nepal Film Association announced a statement that the donated money will be transferred to natural disaster fund established by prime minister which will be used for earthquake relief, treatment, rehabilitation, repair and re-construction of the physical infrastructure. A press-meet was organized by Chairperson, Secretary and treasurer of Nepal film Association comprising the task force to reconstruct or maintain the multiplexes that has been destroyed by massive earthquake. 

Nepal Film Directors, Film Artists Association, Film Journalist Association and other association and organization in various facets are providing their support to earthquake victims.
