Formerly, actress Rekha Thapa had a planned to help kids of Raute and Chepang communities. Rekha Thapa Foundation, a non-government organization helps backward community kids. She had started the foundation with 3 kids and she was planning to help more orphan kids. The foundation is responsible for the upbringing and education of the children under it.

Currently, Actress Rekha Thapa visited Raute and Chepang Community in Mangalpur Chitwan. And she donates stationary and food items to the people. Actress Rekha spend almost an hour in the chepang communities. She distributed a lunch and a bag to each member of the community and also provided 200 liters of edible oil to the foundation. Similarly NRN (Qatar) advisor R.K. Sharma delivered 21quintel rice. Actress Rekha Thapa said, “Please study and be a wise person. You people are the future of our country.” 

 Previously, Rekha and the Rekha Thapa Foundation members met 52 families of Raute in remote Surkhet.  She distributed 52 sacks of rice and some money to the families of the community. The people in the Raute community appreciated Rekha for the community and told that now she has become one of the community member.
