In the western region of our country people have been deprived of theatres but they got an opportunity to watch a movie “Jhola”. The film “Jhola” has been screened on the second day of the ongoing “International Film Workshop 2015” in Rolpa. The film is based on the story by literature Krishna Dharawasi about the sati culture that was prevalent in our society. Nevertheless, a huge crowd gathered to watch the movie which was screened on projector. 

While watching the movie “Jhola” many woman were in tears. The story of a wife who had to immolate herself upon her husband’s death, typically on his funeral pyre touched the hearts of many people in Rolpa. It also reminded them of their relatives who were killed by Maoist many years ago. Director Yadav Kumar Bhattarai and producer Raj Timilsina won the hearts of the people. Almost two hundred people assembled to watch the movie and requested director and producer to build a theatre home in Rolpa district. Individuals of Rolpa district has less knowledge about our film industry while the people are more interested in the movies similarly to the spectators of the capital. 

 

The film costars Garima Pant, Desh Bhakta Khanal, Sujal Nepal and Laxmi Giri in the lead roles while the film is a joint venture of Raj Timilsina, Ram Gopal Thapa, Mallati Shah and Sushil Shah. In the ongoing “International Film Workshop 2015” 9 films are going to be screened every day.
