The Kathmandu International Film Festival has projected the movie “Dr. Khate” based on life of street children on Tuesday in Russian Culture Centre, Kamaldi. The movie attracted many spectators likewise the theatre hall was full. 

Director of the movie “Dr. Khate” received a good response from his viewer’s. The viewer’s enjoyed the movie which has showcase the plights of street children which is influence by a real story. The film costars child actor Prince Rijal in the lead roles with actress Shilpa Pokrel in the guest roles. Actress Shilpa Pokhrel has portrayed the role of sex abuse whereas in the movie “Lajja” she portrayed the role of a sex worker. The film “Dr. Khate” is produced by Roshini K.C. and stars K.C, Samrat Sapkota, Bijay Deuba and others in the supporting roles. In this movie street children have played a crucial role. The music of the movie is composed by Sachin Singh. The film is set to be released abroad first and then Nepal while the entire unit has been organizing a charity show in abroad.

 

The Kathmandu International Film Festival is going to project 5 Nepali movies with 12 International Language movies. Five films “Baanphul”, “Dr. Khatte”, “Pal”, “Kathmandu” and “Bhimdutta” are being projected in the film festival.
