Actor Nikhil Uprety’s ‘Bhairav’ is all set to hit screens on the first day of the upcoming Nepali New Year. Action man Uprety announced the release date of the movie from the shooting venue.

‘We have fixed the New Year day as the release day of our movie. We are by now sure that all works for ‘Bhairav’ will be completed by the day’, said Uprety.

Now that Bhairav is also announced for the day, four films will be competing for market dominance in the frantic days as three films have previously marked the New Year as their release date. Bikash Acharya’s ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’, Chabiraj Ojha’s ‘Hawaldar Sunatli’, and Binaya Shrestha’s ‘Resham Filili’ have all targeted the day for their opening.

Asked about his film’s prospects in the midst of competition from other movies, Uprety replied, ‘If we wait for others, our time will never come. At any given time, there will be competition from other movies, hence we have without hesitation chosen the day as our release date.’

The swashbuckling actor further informed that all the shooting of the movie will be completed in two weeks time and the shooting team will return to valley after. The unit is now in different locations of Tarai for the shooting as the movie features rampant dacoit activity in Tarai and a rearguard action against it.
