Bollywood mega-star Aamir Khan travelled to Kapilvastu yesterday to take part in a nutrition program organized by UNICEF.  The ‘Three Idiots’ star stayed for one hour at Pakadi Health Post where he monitored the nutrition efforts ran by the ‘Aama Samuha’ (Mother’s Group) and other women volunteers.

Khan travelled to Lumbini after the program where he visited the Mayadevi Shrine. Khan is on a two day visit of Nepal. He is accompanied by six bodyguards during his stay.

Khan, who is on preparation for the next installment of his popular TV show -- Satyameva Jayate, was brought to Nepal by UNICEF, the organization which also brought singer Selena Gomez to Nepal. Khan and Gomez are goodwill ambassadors of the children’s organization.

The 49 year old actor, who started his Bollywood career in a child role in ‘Yaadon Ki Barat’, is among the most selective stars in Bollywood. Gifted with a Midas touch of turning every movie into gold-dust, the actor jumped into directorial foray with ‘Tare Jamin Par’. Winning four national awards and seven film-fare awards on his way to gaining mega-stardom, Khan is also a playback singer and a script writer.

The first actor to enter the coveted ‘100 crore club’ and ‘200 crore club’ Khan is also known for his social activism, noticed mainly during his activism in the Narmada Dam case and his support of social activist Anna Hazare.
