Actress Rekha Thapa’s debut directorial venture – Himmatwali, is set to hit the K-town silver screens prior to Dashain, on the day of Phulpati. Thapa has however turned another leaf in her book of movie-making and is all set to direct yet another project.

The new movie, which will be titled ‘Ram Piyari’, will bring to life the story of a female three-wheel (tampoo) driver. The movie will be produced by Rekha Films and actress Thapa will herself portray the lead role. Asked about her role in screen, Thapa said, “I will play a dual role in the movie”. She added that she will play the roles of a ‘Hero’ and the ‘Villian’ by herself, thus explaining her double role in the planned adventure. ‘A straightforward and a daring woman will be represented by my role in the movie”.

Actress Thapa has to shave her head as per the script demands and will also be rehearsing tampoo steering skills prior to the shooting. The movie, whose filming will start post Tihar, has yet to see other actors name finalized. Thapa is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Himmatwali’.
