Singer Anju Panta said she has not eaten anything for three days after she was blamed for her no fault. She was severely criticized in the facebook walls and online news for her alleged comment that she would not sing any song containing the names of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. However, she refuted the allegations.

"I was made to suffer for the crime which I have not committed. It is my character assassination," she said at a press meet. She further said she struggled a lot in her life, she was attacked when her marriage ended and when she broke her leg. "But I have felt the biggest pain at this moment." She said she had sung all sorts of songs for her audiences. She rejected the offer when she was allowed to stay in US only because she wanted to sing for the Nepalese people.

"I did not sing the song as I was unwell. When I was invited for the recording I was really unwell," she said. They also agreed when I told them that I would sing the song next day but all of a sudden the rumour got spread, she said.
