Bollywood actor Aupam Kher has arrived in Kathmandu after an interval of 25 years. This comedian who won five Film Fair Awards for his comedy role exhibited his usual comedies in a press meet organized at Kathmandu Mall.

"For the first time the journalists are in the top positions," he said pointing at media men sitting at the higher point of the Cine D Shop of the mall. He also greeted journalists in broken Nepali like Indian Prime Minister Modi did during his visit to Nepal earlier this month. The comedian who had arrived in Nepal first 25 years ago for the shooting of a movie said," I am sorry, it took me 25 years to visit Nepal for the second time."

He was in Kathmandu to stage a drama "Kuchh Vi Ho Sakta Hai" based on his own life. It was the 320th show of the drama. Koseli Foundation that has been managing for the study for the 120 children of landless squatters settlements has organized the show. The drama is the tale of the time when the comedian had to struggle a lot in his life. "This drama tells the story of my life from when my health and financial condition was very bad to the struggles. I made to climb up the ladder of success," Kher told the press.

The drama was to be staged at the Army Officers Club. The Bollywood actor who has over 480 films in his credit also revealed that he was nervous in the eve of the play's show. "Although I spent 30 years doing film, I feel nervous to appear in the theater as the theatre is still new to me," he said. Famous for philosophical talk show, the actor however presented himself in a very light way in the press meet.

"I am very much relaxed to be in the land of Buddha and Pashupati, I am relaxing in the lap of the Himalayas," he said and asked journalists whether they were pleased to see him. He said he would come to Nepal in his third visit soon.
He also revealed he wanted to go to trekking in Nepal's Himalayas. "Now before doing the theatre work, I will visit the Pashupatinath," he said.

The actor revealed that his dictionary was free from the two words 'Bore' and 'mood off'. "If you are happy you need nothing. I was born in a poor family. But my father gave me the cheapest thing--happiness. Therefore, I want to remain in film for additional 30 years," he said.

According to him, depression could be put at bay by loving many people and increasing communications. The drama "Kuchh Vi Ho Sakata Hai" is wriiten by Kher himself. It is directed by Firoj Abbas. Kher who chaired the Censor Board of India once said that the staging of the play will strengthen fraternity between Nepal and India.
