Actor and film producer Shree Krishna Shrestha passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment in New Delhi, India. Director Akash Adhikari confirmed the actor's death due to deep pneumonia. Sri Krishna had flown to New Delhi after tying nuptial knot with his girl friend actress Sweta Khadka.

The two had arranged their wedding on 23rd Asar this year. Earlier, they were busy doing Sri's second home product Kohinoor. Adhikari has directed, promoted and released the film after Sri fell ill during his honeymoon period. The actor was admitted in a New Delhi-based hospital after he showed a symptom of dry-cough.

His family informed that he was suffering from deep pneumonia. Of course, his family was unwilling to reveal Sri's disease. When the actor did not return home for weeks, his brother reached New Delhi to know the actual health condition of Sri. The ailing actor thereafter sent an audio record for the audience of his movie Kohinoor and other well wishers stating that he had wanted to come to Kathmandu during the first screening of his movie on 23rd Sawan. But he never came to Kathmandu. He died two days after the release of his film. His untimely death has shocked the entire film industry. We extend our heart-felt condolence to his bereaved family and relatives and wish god give them strength to overcome their grief.

I stepped forward carrying the weight of the success you laid on my shoulder. With your support I made 'Kohinoor' movie. I always had a dream of making movie in the subject-matter of women, shoot it inside and outside the country. Director Akash Adhikari had made my dream come true. He had worked hard for this movie. I had promised to be with you at the time of premiere of Kohinoor. I was to be with you with a great joy.

But, I couldn't realise my word. As at the time of release of 'Kahan Bhetiyela' all the press/media friends supported me, you are also supporting me for this movie. I want to give thanks to you all from my inner heart. This movie is not mine, it's yours, ours. So, even when me and Swetaji are not there, love this movie as your own movie. Keep the movie on your lap as your child.

That will be the medicine and love for me. My whole family is trying hard to present 'Kohinoor' as a gift to you. Whether it is me or them, there is no difference. Thinking them as me I request the theatres, distributors, media and audience to support them. And many many thanks to Akashji. He is working very hard for the release of 'Kohinoor'.

I am relieved that even we are not there, the movie is going to be released as I have wished for. In life there are ups-downs and happiness and sorrows. And it is said that sorrows and happiness are the platform of life. And I am resting in that platform. But, I am near you, not far.
