The search for a missing 3-year-old boy come to a tragic end with the Friday announcement that his body had been found at his father's home in a location that was out of plain sight.

"During an exhaustive search of the house we discovered the body of little Ahizya in an obscured location not readily visible to the average person," said Hollywood Police Chief Frank Fernandez at a news conference outside the house.

Police made the discovery late Thursday night and announced that the public's help with the search was no longer needed. Chief Fernandez would not elaborate about whether the child's body had been hidden in this "obscured location" or if the child might have died accidentally while hiding there but Fernandez did say a criminal investigation was ongoing."During an exhaustive search of the house we discovered the body of little Ahizya in an obscured location not readily visible to the average person," said Hollywood Police Chief Frank Fernandez at a news conference outside the house.Police made the discovery late Thursday night and announced that the public's help with the search was no longer needed. 

The boy's father, Nelson Osceola, said he last saw his son at 4 a.m. Thursday when he went to check on Ahizya's 8-month-old sister. Osceola's wife and stepson also live in the home, he said. The chief did not mention if there were any suspects or pending charges in Ahizya's death, Friday morning.
