Ronaldo is quite deservingly an icon in his hometown Madeira, Portugal. So much so, he has museum dedicated in his honour. Cristiano Ronaldo 29, was honoured with a large statue of himself in his hometown Portugal.

The 29-year-old football player gave a posed by the innovative, created effigy of himself in Funchal, Portugal on Dec. 21. While Cristiano seems to be calm and collected about it, fans are taking to twitter to express their responses to Cristiano’s big sculpture. 

Cristiano posed in front of his statue alongside his family, including his young son and nephew. Cristiano also received the honorary Medal of Merit beside the president of Madeira, according to the media.
