Akash Adhikari is a Nepali film actor, freelance writer, lyricist, director and producer predominantly working in Nepali cinema. He was born in Rajghar, Nawalparasi Nepal on 2028 B.S. He is the child of Min Bahadur Adhikari and Hira Kumari. He completed his bachelor degree in sociology and accomplished diploma in film making from “Madhumati Institute”, at Mumbai.  

Akash Adhikari began his career as an assistant director in Indian TV serial “Filmoniya” at the age of 24. After pursuing his further studies, he came back to Nepal to fulfill his obligation to help move Nepali Film Industry forward. He made his directorial debut with “Ranabhumi” in 1998, a melodrama presented under the banner of Bramha Films. Consequently, Akash Adhikari was honoured with the title of “Best Director”.

 Encouraged by the success of his film, he directed another movie “Daag” followed by “Paanchi”, “Ko Afno Ko Birano”, “Ukali Orali”, “Krodh”, “Shasan”, “Gorkha Protector” “Kathmandu” and “Kohinoor”. Likewise, he was awarded for the Best movie “Krodh”.  Not only he limited his talent to directing and producing movies but he gave a new face to our Nepali Film Industry by portraying in various movies “Janmabhoomi”, “Paanchi”, “Krodh”, “Janayuddha” and “Kathmandu”. In the same way, he was awarded with “Best Actor National Award 2008” for the movie “Janayuddha”.

 His latest movie “Kohinoor” was a historic success in the box-office. The entire unit of the movie celebrated the milestone, 51 days in theater in a program held on September 27. The Communication Minister Dr. Minendra Rijal was the chief guest of the program held in Kathmandu. Director Akash Adhikari was appreciated for the movie. The artists and the background technicians of the movie were also appreciated with a token of appreciation in the program. 

Actor/Director Akash Adhikari is considered one of the leading filmmakers in Nepal Film Industry. Akash was honoured from All India radio for his Tele Film "Afnai Janmabhoomi”. The subject-matters of his website "The sky movies" and “The Sunrise" are certified in Hollywood. Actor/Director/Producer Akash Adhikari is the chairman of the production company, The Sky Movies PVT.LTD. Director Akash exclaims he desires to create movies without hindering the ingenuity, art and culture of Nepal and aims to introduce Nepal Film Industry in the international level.
