Sound Budget For Film Industry

Recently, Finance Minister Phd. Yuvaraj Khatiwada passed the budget for the fiscal year 2076/77 in the parliament. This year also the film industry has not got efficient budget as the previous ones. 

The box office has not been included in the budget this year which was allocated in the previous one. 

However, the film personnels believe that a sound budget is allocated for the industry this year as it focuses on the making of new film studios at the capital. Similarly, social protection allowance, cinematography in Nepal are the major subjects of budget allocation this year.

Likewise, the president of Producer's Association Mr Akash Adhikari expressed that the budget this year is good and has focused on the agendas he had drawn out. He said, "the budget this year has been allocated for the construction of indoor studios in the capital which was much required for the development of our industry. Similarly, the social protection allowance is included this year which is a great news for us."

On the other hand, the president of Film Development Board Keshab Bhattarai said, "the film board will now assist the government for the construction of film studios in the Kathmandu valley." He added, "the social protection allowance is good as it will assist the economic status of some old film personnel whose financial situation is not so good."
