A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitude that took place on April 25th 2015 has killed over 8000 people and injured many people. And many people are helping to support the earthquake sufferers. Similarly, Rapti Samaj has distributed metal sheets and iron plates to Colour Reporter Kuber Giri. On the request of Kathmandu Journalist’s Society’s, Rapti Samaj has provided two bundles of roof sheets and iron plates. 

A small help from the journalist’s society will help Colour Reporter Kuber Giri. Vice-Chairman Subash K.C., Treasurer Puri, Purna Bahadur Basnet and Meena Basnet has provided roof sheets to the reporter Giri in Kalanki. Colour Reporter Kuber Giri house has been destroyed in Ramkot. He said, “We were not able to stay in our house because it was destroyed badly”. He also added, “I feel relief because of the support given by Rapti Society”. He is going to be very careful in this matter from now onwards. Vice-Chairman K.C. said, “We have provided relief materials and needs to many earthquake victims and we are happy to help earthquake victims”. 

The Rapti Samaj has made people aware about the effects of the tremor. According to Chairman Shashi Majgaya they are ready to provide materials and relief needs when there is a need. “We are ready to help and support victims in affected region of our country”, said chairman and Rapti Samaj has decided to support earthquake victims.
